SCCOA And GM1000 Progress

The French Air Force will take delivery of new GM400 air surveillance radar as part of the SCCOA integrated air defence system over the coming year. The GM400 will be acquired alongside an over-arching modernisation of existing air force air surveillance radar. In addition, the SCCOA 4 part of the overall SCCOA programme, which was launched last year, will see precision approach radar at French airfields and airports being added to the overall SCCOA network. Furthermore, the French Air Force expects to take delivery of its first GS1000 early warning radar for ballistic missile defence by the end of 2012.
